Committees |

WILDS has five active committees. Members are encouraged to join a committee that fits their interests. The Steering Committee generally meets monthly and the other committees meet as needed. Steering Committee -- This committee is made up of the board of directors and a handful of early members who were active in forming the organization. Members interested in joining the the steering committee should contact one of the WILDS' officers. The committee focuses on planning the organization's activities on an ongoing basis and meets monthly. Membership Committee -- The Membership Committee serves to promote membership, maintain our database of members and support communications to members. Nominating Committee -- The Nominating Committee handles the duties of putting forward candidates for the board of directors and the officer positions, as well as routing and counting the ballots upon election. Events Committee -- This committee organizes social and networking events, such as brown bag lunches and after-work gatherings. Mentoring Committee -- This new committee is a one-on-one arrangement that matches a mentor with a protege by area of specialty or interest.
